SEAN VILORIA BIOGRAPHY
Sean Viloria was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan,Canada and currently
resides in Vancouver British Columbia.
From a young age Sean watched his father who was born and raised in the
Philippines, play guitar and sing until picking up the bass guitar himself at the age
of 14. Influenced by a vast array of wide ranging artists and musical styles, Sean
has developed into a prolific young performer and songwriter.
Bass,Weissenborn,Talkbox,Guitar,Keyboards,Drum Production, Songwriting,
Painting,Illustrating,Sculpting and Writing are a few the weapons in this artist's
arsenal.
Touring and playing for bands such as Instant Vintage, The Dalai Lamas,Wide
Mouth Mason, Mobadass,DNA6, Sean was able to open for such legendary acts as
The Roots,ZZTOP,The Pharcyde,Antibalas,Sekoya,Sweatshop Union,Los Lobos
and many more.
Sean's first album "Free Your Mind" was released in 2010. It was recorded by the
amazing Efren Pereira Jr at StarLab Recording Studios and mastered in New York
by Chris Athens at SterlingSound Recording Studio. An eclectic mix of rock,reggae
and funk the album was received very well and was an honest introduction to a
new Artist.
Sean is inspired by and absorbs sounds from bands like Bob Marley and The
Wailers, Peter Tosh,D'angelo,The Roots,Fat Freddy's Drop,The Black Keys and
Ben Harper while his voice has been described as a mix of Jack Johnson,Michael
Frianti of SpearHead and Stephen Marley.
Incorporating Hip-Hop,Reggae,Funk,Soul and Blues into an infectious new sound
for 2012, Sean is set to blaze a fire across the globe with his new record:
"FIGHT THE SLEEP" will be released in May of 2012 and features the brand new
single "Tell Them" with Reggae superstar Andrew Tosh, son of the legendary Peter
Tosh. Andrew has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, most recently in 2011
for his album "LEGACY".
Nearly all of the instruments on the album are played by Sean with help from an
incredible group of musicians including:

Jess Vaira on Vocals
Alex Maher on Saxophone
Silas Balabyekkubo on Vocals

Sean also produced a song with Alex Maher and Silas Balabyekkubo called
"HIGHER" which will be featured on a tribute album in honour of our brother Randy
Ponzio who was taken from us far to soon. Proceeds from the "ALL LOVE" album
will benefit his three children and the album will be available on Itunes.
